It tells the story of a girl who discovers a weird world full of bizarre creatures after falling down a rabbit hole. It’s hilarious, and you’d have to be a zombie to not find the humour in it. The humour in the novel, which was published in 1865, feels contemporary. Also, it’s quite dark. There are so many jokes about murdered kids in it, I can’t even tell you.
