Ascendance of a Bookworm by Miya Kazuki
Myne finally decides to leave her family and friends in the lower city after a tragic encounter with a noble, renaming herself “Rozemyne,” and starting a new life as the adopted daughter of Ehrenfest’s archduke. Although she is required to undergo intensive etiquette and magic training in addition to her responsibilities as the High Bishop and forewoman, her days as an archnoble in a noble society are terrible. All of it turns out to be too much for a frail little girl of seven. Or it would have if the High Priest hadn’t rewarded her with the keys to the temple’s library. She would be able to read all kinds of priceless books if she could get her hands on those!

Even though her name has changed, Rozemyne is still a voracious reader as she plunges into an entirely new setting! As the printing sector gets bigger, the intricate setting gets more extensive. This biblio-fantasy for book lovers everywhere starts with Part 3 right here!
Rozemyne is still alive, Myne is dead. When he tells Lutz in part 2 that even with a new name, it is not going to change who she really is, a book-loving girl who will never genuinely change, Benno pretty well says it up. Despite yet, a 7-year-second old’s summer is spent studying how to be a noble, a good high bishop, and obtaining the funds necessary to start a printing business.
New characters are aplenty but at the price of the downtown crew. This is sort of annoying since Ferdinand asks a question that Rozemyne can’t respond to, but Effa and Gunther aren’t in this book, so they couldn’t possibly help. She is able to see them physically, but she cannot engage with them. Like the previous volume 1s in the series, this one is less about engaging in a fight and more about adjusting to a new situation. If I were to criticize anything, I would suggest that Frieda should be present more often. Although Part 2 also needs more Frieda, it makes more sense for Frieda to play a bigger part in this section.
