My go-to author for thrillers is Tess Gerritsen. I know I won’t be let down by one of her works if I’m looking for an excellent mystery with lots of suspense. The book alternates between before and after to give readers a look at Taryn and the circumstances behind her death.
With each back and forth, I gained a bit more understanding of the individuals and was left wondering what actually took place. Frankie is a fantastic investigator-lead character because he provides the investigation with a feeling of direction. Frankie followed her instincts and used every piece of information she could uncover to figure out what happened. Her boyfriend had a hard time accepting her suspicions that it wasn’t just a suicide.
