The twin daughters were split up at birth as a sacrifice to protect them from Eze Ochichiri, the ruler of the Kingdom of Nri. Both girls are put to the test in ways that make a mysterious, imposing power buried inside them emerge. Their respective journeys eventually converge at the gigantic Eze.
But are they able to vanquish the man who forced the gods to submit?
Twins have always piqued my interest, and this book’s stunning cover, which features lovely twin characters, is no exception. It was a must-read for me! This is the tale of twin twins Naala and Sinai, who were split up at birth and went through radically different upbringings. They have yet to meet and learn about the hidden magical power that is inside them. Together, they will have to confront the evil king of Nri, Eze, who tore them apart, destroyed the gods, and will stop at nothing to maintain his hold on power. Reni K Amayo uses vibrant surroundings and a lot of imagination to ensnare you in her beautifully designed world.
Absolutely! Additionally, she develops intriguing, complex, and nuanced characters and interactions that touch on feminist topics like the unity of female foes in the face of a greater foe, a patriarchal society. The narrative gently captures your attention before firmly locking it onto you until you are unable to put the book down. The narrative surrounding creation and the exodus of the gods and goddesses from earth particularly piqued my interest. This book didn’t cover everything, so I’m eager to read the sequel, which I hope will have more information on this lovely origin tale.
