Although it is more of a novella than a novel, a larger length would make it exceedingly tedious. It is delivered in a simple manner that avoids reader confusion and advances the plot, and I found it to be quite enjoyable. It is a story of one person’s struggle with the duality of man without being political, prejudiced, or scientific, etc. It is a story that doesn’t feel antiquated and has some reverberations even now, therefore I would recommend it to readers of any genre.
