Exes and O’s by Amy Lea
Tara Chen, a lover of romance novels, has had 10 different men break her heart, all of whom left her because she was a “stage-five clinger.” Tara is nonetheless committed to finding The One. The sole issue? Due to current dating applications, traditional meet-cutes are extinct. In order to find her own second-chance romance that fits the stereotype, Tara decides to reconnect with her ex-lovers.
Trevor Metcalfe, a Boston firefighter, will be the last to hurry into a relationship but the first to rush into a blazing structure. Simply put, he’s not into love. He grudgingly agrees when Tara, his new roommate, asks him to assist her in getting in touch with her ex-lovers. However, Tara’s adventure is inspiring him to write a new chapter in his own life.

I was a little dubious as I followed Tara’s quest to discover her true love. I don’t think looking through your past relationships for a second chance is the best course of action, but Tara is terrified and wants risk-free love because of everything she has been through.
The adventure begins as soon as she moves in with Trevor, her new roommate. I was dying reading the first chapter. From that point forward, their developing friendship was everything to me. I cherished Trevor. He feels like the ideal man in every way. Although initially a little reserved, it is really adorable to see him open up to Tara. Even though he won’t say it, you can see he cares for them.
Tara has a charming persona. You can blame her books for the fact that she tends to be a romantic daydreamer with her head in the clouds. She makes some impulsive decisions regarding men and is awkward as well, but it is amazing how she persisted in her hunt for love despite numerous rejections. Trevor was the ideal match for her because he was less vocal than Tara, undoubtedly more level-headed, and someone who would look out for her as a friend and more.
Reviewer of romance novels Tara Chen has a penchant for fusing fantasy and fiction. After a recent split and an unplanned move, Tara is now urgently searching for her truly happy ending. Tara resolves to follow her grandmother’s advice and, with the aid of her attractive roommate Trevor, a firefighter, go back through her past to create her own second-chance romance.
Trevor is still unsure of how he ended up being involved in Tara’s “smart” scheme to get back together with an ex-boyfriend in time for the Valentine’s Day gala. Trevor finds himself becoming closer to his roommate and developing a stake in her outcome as each amusing encounter crosses an ex off the list.
