Extremely likeable and a skilled detective, Matthew the PI accepts uninteresting tasks to appease his anxious wife who worries about his safety. Ed and Rachel, the victim’s parents, were interesting; they were regular people with secrets from their past that harmed their relationships. Gemma, the victim’s daughter, is revealed through her diaries as she lies in a coma following a shooting. There are numerous suspects, each with their own agendas, and until the shocking conclusions, it is unclear who actually shot the victim.
