In an effort to rebuild her life, Emma quits her work and returns to her parent’s house. Years later, when Emma is in her thirties and has reconnected with Sam, she finds herself falling in love once more. Emma believes that becoming engaged to Sam is her second chance at happiness.
Until Jesse is located, that is. He has been attempting to return home to her for all these years and is still alive. Emma now needs to choose who she is and what she wants while attempting to safeguard the people she loves. She also has a spouse and a fiancé. Her one and only real love? What does it entail to sincerely love? Emma is aware that she needs to follow her heart. Simply put, she’s unsure of what it’s saying.
When she first meets and falls in love with her future husband as a teenager, it begins by giving you the story from her point of view. After that, you read about their marriage and how he eventually vanishes while on business. You hear a lot about her loss and her attempts to cope with it because he’s been gone for more than three years. She eventually gambles on an old, nerdy high school friend and gets engaged to him. Then, when her husband unexpectedly reappears, she must choose between the two.
After one year of marriage, a lady loses her lifelong companion. They travelled extensively, had a pretty open relationship, and everything was perfect—until he vanished. She then returns to the house where she was raised and discovers a new life, falling in love with an old flame. However, after they become engaged, she gets a call saying that her deceased husband is still alive and is returning to her life. It was enjoyable and simple to read this novel. The narrative immediately draws you in and maintains your interest. The plot was still nicely developed, although I thought the conclusion was a little predictable. This will be a good read for everyone who likes straightforward romance novels.
