In this section of the narrative, Diana and Matthew journey back in time to 1590 Elizabethan England in order to discover a witch who can assist Diana with her magic, learn more about the witch, find Ashmole 782, and other objectives.
Diana is put to the test to fit in and understand how the politics and manipulations of creatures and humans in 1590 play out while also learning more about Matthew and his many secrets. Matthew runs across old acquaintances, allies, and enemies. Diana and Matthew both have to constantly remain one step ahead of the game as their limitations are pushed. In some ways, you wish you could simply dive right into the story and watch it unfold as it is being told or read because the journey that these two take is so incredible.
This book immediately picks up where the first one left off. The year is 1590 when Diana and Matthew are found at the place they had been walking to. Elizabethan era England. I am a person who is very passionate about everything historical. I enjoy reading historical fiction as well as nonfiction about the past. Therefore, I was eager to read this novel and ingest as much information as I could, not just about the individuals but also about the place. These pages provide a lot of information. It enhances the narrative being delivered, and in this instance, it was unquestionably warranted.
