Lara starts to wonder where the genuine evil dwells as she infiltrates her new house, a gorgeous paradise surrounded by stormy waters, and gets to know her new husband, Aren. She observes a kingdom struggling for existence all around her, as well as Aren, a ferocious protector of his people. Lara discovers that the simmering passion between her and Aren is impossible to deny as her mission forces her to gain a deeper grasp of the struggle to control the bridge. With her objective almost at hand, Lara must make a choice about her own destiny: Will she be the one to overthrow a monarch or save her people?

I was captivated by The Bridge Kingdom from the very first chapter. There was lots of action, a vividly developed universe, interesting people, a slow-burning romance, and a plot that was full of tight political manoeuvring and deceit. These are countries that have long been at war with one another, and several of them have just recently agreed to a shaky economic truce, notably with Ithicana, which controls the bridge.

The struggle between Ithicana and Maridrina never ends. The Maridrinian king turned to unconventional measures when traditional combat failed to produce results. He collected all of his daughters in a remote property where they were taught how to be good wives, assassins, and fighters. The best-qualified applicant would be dispatched to Ithicana to wed the young king Aren and overthrow the Bridge Kingdom from within. Lara is now among the Ithicanians after receiving training and indoctrination. She quickly realizes that reality does not line up with the tales she has been told.

The Bridge Kingdom is a fantastic trilogy’s first book. Another imaginary country is shown to us, complete with complex topography, traditions, political systems, and economic ties between neighbouring nations. Ithicana is an interesting and unusual kingdom because of its setting and location. Its inhabitants are interesting and lovely people.
