The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien
This collection contains all three of the Lord of the Rings novels, a fantastic and timeless tale. Worth reading and rereading without a doubt. I suppose I should point out that using the footnotes in this e-book edition is challenging because clicking the link in the text would send me to the footnote but not back to the text’s original location. The story is not at all hampered by my decision (which I made) to omit the footnote. This story and this particular copy of the narrative get my highest endorsement.

Lord of the Rings is that good, even if it might be one of the most admired, praised, and cherished book series of all time. I hadn’t realized how much I loved the series until I didn’t have any more to read, and I just finished the last chapter today while tears slowly streamed down my face. Do not be discouraged by how long the books are; try to see past that. When you do read it all and finish the novels, you will only want to visit Middle Earth once more, which only increases your appreciation for how big it is.
I had no idea how much the ring bearer’s narrative and his fellowship would impress me. I already adored Lord of the Rings after watching the movie quite a few times, but now I adore it much more. The writing is interesting, creative, and well-planned. The only thing that might cause TOLKIEN’s meticulousness and portrayal of Middle Earth and all its inhabitants to falter is a lack of imagination on YOUR part. This book is at its best when it is taken away, so please do that. I lost count of the number of times I lost myself in a book for hours at a time, lost in the raging and burning plains of Mordor or the exquisitely carved wonders of Rivendell. Time would fly as I continued to explore and savour the world that Tolkien had built late into the night or into the afternoons and evenings.
Every chapter was enjoyable, fresh, and significant. None were too long or too short; everything about these books feels “just right.” I experienced a wide range of emotions, including joy, happiness, fear, melancholy, and adoration. I also found myself amused, excited, amazed, and awestruck. Hours of my life that I will never consider having been wasted, and you won’t either.
