The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman

Following The Whisperer War, Rick and the whole city of Alexandria must battle the greatest army of walkers they have ever encountered in order to survive. This book spends a lot of time discussing how to fend off the walker attack—an action that will have you on the edge of your seat and holding your breath. I enjoy how Rick is able to shift and adapt depending on the situation, and I think the major characters’ character development is still being described effectively. I’m eager to find out more about the mysterious group of people that Eugene has been keeping to himself.

As a comic book creator first and foremost, Kirkman has had ground-breaking success turning his comic book series into huge franchises across all genres of media. His Eisner-winning series The Walking Dead was turned into an AMC television program in 2010. As the highest-rated basic cable drama of all time and the most popular program on television among the coveted 18-49 demos, it has become a global sensation. In addition, the property has been expanded into a successful game franchise, licensing venture, and publishing success.

Additionally, Kirkman is a consultant producer for Chris Hardwick’s renowned discussion show The Talking Dead, which delves deeply into each episode of The Walking Dead and its companion series Fear the Walking Dead.

Fear the Walking Dead, the companion series to The Walking Dead, was co-created, written by, and produced by Kirkman.

In addition, he serves as executive producer for the Korean pre-apocalyptic drama Five Year and the AMC series Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics. Outcast, a popular Kirkman demon-exorcism comic, has been adapted, produced, and is currently airing on Cinemax.

On the basis of his enduringly well-liked comic book, Kirkman will create Invincible for the big screen. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg will write, direct, and produce the picture for Universal Pictures. AIR, starring Norman Reedus and Oscar contender Djimon Hounsou, is among the other credits. Super Dinosaur, Battle Pope, Astounding Wolf-Man, and Thief of Thieves are additional Kirkman comics.

Robert oversees Skybound Entertainment as its chairman. In an effort to ensure that creators may retain their intellectual property rights and creative control, Robert, a supporter of creator rights, co-founded Skybound with his longstanding business and producing partner David Alpert.
